Submitting a solution writeup is a required component of the 2021 math jam.
Excluding references and citations, solutions must be no longer than one page. This means that the last page of content can be no later than Page 1. Judges will not consider any pages past this cut-off for awards. Note that this doesn’t mean you need to fill the whole page-- make sure that your paper addresses all components of your model while being as concise as possible.
Standard Formatting: final solutions must use the Times New Roman or a similar font, and use size 12 font for text that is not headings, titles, or other forms of formatting. Students are welcome to choose how to organize the sections of their solution and whether to include color.
In your paper, please include a title, problem statement, assumptions, a walkthrough of your model, your final solution, and a conclusion. You can section your submission in whichever way you like, but please keep in mind that you must stay withing your 1-page limit. Try to be as concise as possible!
